This cookie policy explains how NGO Training, operated by One for All Services SPRL, uses cookies and similar technologies on ngotraining.org. It describes what cookies are, which ones we use and why, how long they remain on your device, and how you can accept, refuse or change your preferences at any time.
This cookie policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally, including the data collected through cookies, the legal bases we rely on and your rights under the GDPR.
1. Who is responsible
The website is operated by One for All Services SPRL (trading as NGO Training), Brussels, Belgium. Registered office: [registered office address]. Company number: [company number]. Both are available on request at [email protected]. You can contact us about cookies by email at [email protected] or by telephone on +32 2 403 49 83.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Each cookie usually contains a name, a value, the domain that set it and an expiry date.
Cookies can be classified in several ways:
- First-party cookies are set by the website you are visiting, in this case ngotraining.org.
- Third-party cookies are set by a different domain, for example an analytics provider or an embedded video service.
- Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them.
2.1 Similar technologies
In this cookie policy, the word “cookies” also covers similar technologies that store or read information on your device, such as local storage, session storage, pixels and scripts. The same rules on consent apply to them.
3. The legal framework
The use of cookies in Belgium is governed by Article 10/2 of the Act of 30 July 2018 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, which implements Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), together with the GDPR. In short:
- cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have explicitly requested, or to carry out the transmission of a communication, may be placed without your consent;
- all other cookies, including analytics, functional and marketing cookies, may only be placed after you have given your free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent.
Consent must be given through a clear affirmative action. Continuing to browse, scrolling or closing the banner does not count as consent, and pre-ticked boxes are not used. It must be as easy to refuse cookies as to accept them, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Categories of cookies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include:
- WooCommerce cookies that make the booking process work: they remember the courses or services you have added to your basket, keep your session active as you move between pages, and allow you to complete your order in our online shop.
- WordPress cookies that check whether your browser accepts cookies and that keep you logged in if you have a customer account.
- Security cookies set by our security plugin (such as Wordfence) to protect the website and logged-in users against attacks.
- The consent cookie set by CookieYes, which remembers the choices you have made in the cookie banner so that we do not ask you again on every page.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the website, in particular the basket and checkout, will then not work properly.
4.2 Functional cookies
Functional cookies enable additional features and personalisation, such as remembering your name and email address when you leave a comment on our blog, or remembering display settings if you are logged in. These cookies are only placed with your consent. If you do not accept them, some convenience features may not be available, but the core website will still work.
4.3 Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use our website: which pages are visited most often, how visitors arrive at the site, how long they stay and whether they encounter errors. This helps us improve our content, for example our course pages and blog articles. Information is collected in aggregated or pseudonymised form. Where possible, we configure analytics tools to minimise data collection, for example by shortening IP addresses. Analytics cookies are only placed with your consent.
WooCommerce may also use order attribution scripts that record how a visitor arrived at the website before placing an order (for example, through a search engine or a newsletter). Where enabled, we treat these as analytics cookies and only activate them with your consent.
4.4 Marketing cookies
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites in order to show relevant advertising or to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They may also be set by embedded content from third parties, such as video platforms or social media buttons.
At the date of this cookie policy, we do not run advertising campaigns that use tracking cookies on our website. If we embed third-party content, such as a video, the third party may set cookies when the content loads. Such content is blocked until you consent to the relevant category of cookies. If we introduce marketing cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before placing them.
5. Our consent banner (CookieYes)
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner managed by CookieYes appears. It gives you three options:
- Accept all: you consent to all categories of cookies.
- Reject all: only strictly necessary cookies are placed.
- Customise: you choose which optional categories (functional, analytics, marketing) to allow.
Optional cookies are blocked until you make a choice. Your choices are stored in the cookieyes-consent cookie for up to one year, after which we will ask you again. We will also ask you again if we make significant changes to the cookies we use. CookieYes keeps a record of consents (with an anonymised identifier, the date and the categories chosen) so that we can demonstrate compliance, as required by the GDPR.
6. Table of cookies used on our website
The table below lists the typical cookies used on our website. The exact list can change when we update plugins or services; the cookie banner always shows the current list. Durations are approximate and may vary depending on your browser and settings. Where a cookie name contains a hash or identifier (shown as [hash]), a unique string is added to the name.

6.4 Marketing
We do not currently place marketing cookies. If third-party content such as an embedded video is added to a page, the provider may set its own cookies once you have consented to the relevant category. In that case the provider’s own cookie and privacy policies apply, and the cookies will be listed in our cookie banner.
7. How to change your cookie preferences
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time. To do so:
- Click the cookie settings link or icon, which is available at the bottom of every page of our website.
- Switch individual categories on or off in the preference centre.
- Click “Save my preferences”.
Withdrawing consent stops new optional cookies from being placed, but it does not automatically remove cookies already stored on your device. To remove them, you can delete cookies through your browser settings, as described below. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
8. Controlling cookies through your browser
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can usually:
- see which cookies are stored and delete them individually or all at once;
- block third-party cookies;
- block all cookies from specific websites;
- block all cookies from all websites;
- delete all cookies when you close the browser;
- browse in a private or incognito mode, which usually deletes cookies at the end of the session.
The relevant options are generally found in the “Settings”, “Preferences”, “Privacy” or “Security” menu of your browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari or Microsoft Edge. On mobile devices, the settings can usually be found in the browser application or in the device’s own settings. Please refer to your browser’s help pages for detailed instructions.
Please note that if you block all cookies, including strictly necessary cookies, you may not be able to book a course or use your customer account.
8.1 Opting out of analytics
In addition to refusing analytics cookies in our cookie banner, some analytics providers offer browser add-ons that prevent your data from being collected on any website. Browsers that send a “Global Privacy Control” signal may also be honoured by our consent tool where technically supported.
9. Third-party cookies and transfers
Some third-party providers, such as an analytics service, may be located outside the European Economic Area or may transfer data outside it. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy, such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Third parties that set cookies on our site are responsible for their own use of those cookies, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
10. Server logs and security monitoring
Separately from cookies, our web server and security plugin record technical information such as IP addresses and request details to keep the website running and secure. This is not done through cookies on your device and is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Updates to this cookie policy
We may update this cookie policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove plugins, change service providers or when the law or regulatory guidance changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where changes affect the optional cookies we use, we will ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this cookie policy or the cookies we use, please write to [email protected], call us on +32 2 403 49 83, or use our contact page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), as explained in our Privacy Policy. For information on other legal terms, see our Terms and Conditions.
